Tai Chi Qigong Basics (Beginners)

 For those new to Tai Chi Qigong, this class will concentrate entirely on the very basics of Tai Chi and Qigong, emphasis on form, focus, intention and changing weight safely. Students will learn warm up sequence, the crane and deer animal frolics and the first 6 movements of the sun style short form. Once comfortable with these movements, students can continue to the Level II class with more confidence and awareness - moving forward fine tuning and learning the remaining 36 movements.

 Class Fee: $30.00 for 6 session which began 6/3/14. Registration required each week. Jani Kendy became certified and began teaching this form of Tai Chi and Qigong in 2006.  She has taught in Tennessee, Virginia, Maryland and Delaware, with students ranging in age from 6 years old to 87 years old. "I knew as soon as I saw this type of Tai Chi that it could benefit everyone. It is easy to learn and the benefits of relaxing and focusing on slow intentional movements are absolutely amazing! In addition to the physical benefits, students quickly become aware of when and where they are tensing up. Tai Chi and Qigong give them a tool to let go of that tension and stress!"
