There is strong evidence that chronic inflammation is a major factor in many chronic diseases, including diabetes, heart disease, Alzheimer’s Disease and certain cancers. During this 6-week program, Mrs. Bruey teaches you the framework of the Disease Prevention Lifestyle, and she coaches you to begin to incorporate the changes that are required to accomplish it. This program uses the Anti-inflammatory Diet by Dr. Andrew Weil as a way to use food as medicine and the National Physical Activity Guidelines for Adults to incorporate physical activity into the wellness plan.

This 6-week program is designed for “baby-boomers” and others who are interested in taking actions to reduce their risks for (or possibly improve) the diseases listed above that are usually associated with aging.
