According to the Centers for Disease Control, longer life spans and aging baby boomers will combine to double the population of older Americans during the next 25 years to about 72 million. Heart disease, cancer, stroke, chronic lower respiratory diseases, Alzheimer’s disease and diabetes continue to be the leading causes of death among older adults, but baby boomers can take steps to live long and healthy lives.Map and Directions to the Brentwood Library
By attending this session, you will gain an understanding of: 1) the underlying cause of most age-related diseases in America today, 2) how the Standard American Diet, lifestyle choices and environmental factors influence this cause, and 3) ways individuals can decrease their risks for cardiovascular disease, type II diabetes, and other age-related diseases.
